there is a role for politicians to play here? the piece talks about the distrust in washington and of our leaders. starts at the top and continues thereon. >> listen, way before barack obama said you can keep your insurance, period, there was congressmen saying, listen, we'll have a law on drugs. then you find out they are drug addicts. or every young child will be tested at school to make sure they are not doing alcohol. then you find out the congressman was drunk when he voted on that. right now any leader we have, it's hard to find trust when you do not have trust in the leadership of oh this country we live in. i think it starts at the top. somebody at the top has to say, stop, we have to get back to basics and who we are. we don't have it now. >> it's an interesting piece that suggests it's too late for this generation. we have to wait for the next one. hopefully that's not true. >> megyn, my father said something else. we have a chance to start america all over again. >> good to see you, sir. >> good to see you. >> coming up, could your holiday gifts be delivered by drone to your front door

the president is campaigning but all the talk in the world may not make a difference. >> obama thinks that he can repeal reality with rhetoric. i mean, after all, one thing he can really do well is campaign. that's undeniable. he's one of the great campaigners in american history. he twice won the presidency. his trouble is he has a little bit of trouble governing. here he's faced with a management problem, a government problem. he passed a bill that is so complex, the regulations are so complex and contradictory, he's got a website that is not functioning correctly, and he thinks that if he makes the right speeches, he says the right words, somehow it will change perception. but here he runs up against the wall. >> the perception is across the country is that so far it's been a joke and that's why the president yesterday started what will be a three-week push to get people to sign up. one of the problems is when they sign up, they sign up with an insurance company. the insurance company, the back end of the website, the so-called back end, mr. krauthammer referred to that last night, as the

this is a pope who knows how to get people talking and they're certainly talking about this bouncer revelation. there is people calling him the velvet rope pope. >> that's cute. >> a former spokes -- former speechwriter for president obama suggested that we write a sit-com about the pope's experience and call it "heaven can wait and so can you." and then there are some people who on our blog and other places are saying we get it, pope francis. you're cool. now we need to know whether he can translate the coolness factor into what is his primary job, getting people to take a second or third look at the catholic church. >> that will be the mammoth task in some circles for sure. >> daniel burke will be appearing here all week. >> that's right with all these nice drippings of more goodness. >> we were saying we can imagine him at the pearly gates standing there and going, no, i'm sorry. i'm sorry. you can't come in. >> you're not getting in. i know good. >> daniel, great to see you. it is great. we've got all our belief blog guys having chats about this pontiff. check out the belief blog. great re

. >> let's talk about the polls. i get it. some of the polls from harvard university. do you disapprove or approve of his job performance? 54% disapprove. do you approve of obama care? 57% disapprove. are you likely to enroll in obama care? 45% unlikely. 22% likely. is that what this is about, chris? >> it is. one of my favorites in that harvard university and student politics poll is where 47% say they would recall the president from office if they could. they would take him out of his job today if they could. by the time we got to the obama care crash, we had six months of the worst beginning of a presidential second term since richard nixon. it was bad. this presidency was off on the wrong track. it was off on the wrong track on the nsa which was a massive breach of trust. this much spying was a massive breach of trust with the voters. young voters care about those issues. they live online, on the internet, on their devices. the president was snooping. he deceived them about that. that breach of trust might have been forgiven because it was related to national security. when that's c

, and there's a lot of kids who simply can't do it and don't care about doing it, so what is barack obama going to do for them? >> and the question really is why hasn't he done more over five years? bill, this man's been talking about the income inequality in this country. when he is president of the united states, he's had a treasured opportunity to talk about that which counts, that is, education, which is the great equalizer of our society. >> but you have to reform the educational system, and there's been no movement to do that. the teachers unions are still blocking any kind of meaningful reform as far as teacher productivity is concerned. >> so, you don't want to engage in educational theory, you actually want him to do something. >> yeah, i want everybody to do something. >> absolutely. >> because all their solution is, "the new york times," too, throw money at -- bang! here! more money. and the money doesn't do anything but raise taxes. >> two things people don't have the guts to deal with in this, and i'm talking about both parties -- they don't have the guts to say to the unions

.c. she talked to piers morgan of how she would advise president obama on this health care mess. take a listen. >> i don't think we have seen a disaster like this in awhile. i think it is very problematic buzz this is the president's signature piece of legislation. i think everybody agrees that the initial rollout has been a mess. the president has apologized for it. i think the question is going to be how he moves past this. >> the problem to me seems he has said we have a few things wrong. the real thing he got wrong is he went out there front and center and repeatedly told a lie. let's watch this clip here showing him in action. >> you like your plan? keep your plan. if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. if you like your private health insurance plan, you can keep it. >> this was mr. transparent. this was mr. i'm going to change washington. look at me, you can trust me. >> yes. >> that, to me, is damaging to the obama brand. this is all about technology. this is the geek president. he wins with the most underground internet campaign imaginable and he can't rollout his flag
